Greetings! I am a 3D Animator named Leonardo Canavati, and yes I do find it ironic how I followed an art path in life just like the famous artist Da Vinci, even if my form of art is in the 3D realm instead.

Growing up I loved watching 3d animation movies, shows, and YouTube videos of small studios making their own work. I never really thought at first I could follow a career like this. I always thought it would be impossible if it wasn't for my family. I have two family members who followed into the industry via different job careers. They are the ones who showed me a path I can make for myself. They gave me the push I needed to follow this path.

Animation as been a big center point for me. I would always love looking into how my favorite movies and shows where made. Before I would love watching behind the scenes clips on CD, to watching YouTube shorts that break down the Animation pipelines. I love being able to learn and grow with my work. Taking the time to understand not to move a character but breath life into them, make their emotions and feelings know by viewing.

Another favorite of mine is watching the making and development of video games. When ever I play a game I love breaking down as much detail as I can, from the world building to the small animations that pull you into the characters you play.

A fun fact about me is one of my hobbies is playing Dungeons and Dragons. My love for the world building in certain games got me to try and go further into the world through DnD. It has been a great way to gather with friends as a break from our very different life styles and enjoy a time engrossed in another world. It's a great way to further enjoy the games I love and an amazing way to connect with others through common interest of themes. I typically play as a Barbarian or a Paladin. I love playing as either the tank who takes all the hits to buy time for my party or be the wild beast on the field that tries to take as many enemies with me.

Another fun hobby I love to play is Magic the Gathering! I love all the different new cards entering the game and the over all strategy that comes with the game. The game can seem hard and trouble some at times but I find it a fun way to meet new people and get to know them while we are battling it out in the game.
